A Synagogue Simcha
On Saturday, February 7, 2015, the Martin J. Gottlieb Day School’s Kitah Alef class will participate in a service known as “Consecration” or “Haggigat HaSiddur (receiving one’s prayerbook)”. This ceremony acknowledges and celebrates the beginning of one’s Jewish educational journey.
To participate in a collective Congratulations of the students, please purchase a
JJC Sisterhood Leagram.
WHAT ARE LEAGRAMS?
Leagrams are personal messages congratulating our consecrants. These messages are printed on individual sheets of Leagram stationery and beautifully bound together in a book which the consecrant will receive as part of Consecration Day.
Please place and pay for your Leagram order by February 4, 2015.

Join us for Sisterhood Shabbat
The Jacksonville Jewish Center Sisterhood invites you to come and enjoy its annual Sisterhood Shabbat on January 24, 2015 starting at 9:00 AM.
As in years past, many members of Sisterhood will be taking part in the service. All members who were past Presidents here and in other congregations will be honored. Stay for Kiddush luncheon and enjoy a delicious meal sponsored by Sisterhood.
Rabbi Matt Berkowitz will deliver the sermon on the topic of Women and Art. Rabbi Berkowitz is the Director of Israel Programs for The Jewish Theological Seminary of America and co-founder of Kol Ha-Ot, a new Jerusalem-based venture devoted to exploring the arts and Jewish learning. We are privileged to have Rabbi Berkowitz joining us and enhancing our service!
