Fourth Judicial Circuit Florida Girls Court

One of the community projects JJC Sisterhood is currently working with is the Fourth Judicial Circuit Florida Girls Court – a program for girls facing the justice system, designed to reduce recidivism, detention and commitments among girls in our community. By reducing recidivism and commitment to costly residential commitment facilities, Girls Court is a cost effective intervention to effectively meet the mental health and multiple social needs of girls and young women in our community. This pilot project is possible because community agencies are coming together with donated time and resources.
To that end, we would like to donate courtroom-appropriate clothing for the girls entering this program.  Ages range from 11 to 18.  As a woman, you know that dressing for success directly effects the way you feel about yourself and the way others perceive you.  Let’s do our part to help girls in our community.  If you or your daughters have any clothing that you are getting rid of that would be appropriate for girls to wear to court, please contact me, Rachael Ardanuy, by email (click HERE) or calling me at (850) 879-0999. I can come to you to pick up the clothing.
