As this latest batch of photos arrives, it’s a great opportunity to say thank you once again to everyone who made it happen, to consider how important Torah Fund is, and especially to thank Edith Horovitz for letting us honor her!

 As promised, more photos from last night’s wonderful Torah Fund Dinner! We had a great time dancing to tunes from Kol Train, hearing the great news that our Torah Fund team at the Center has raised over $18,000 and beaten our goal (including $227 from the dayschool tzedakah boxes!) and hearing touching tributes to our honoree Edith Horovitz by Estelle Kritz and Kathy Osterer.  Not to mention a yummy dinner by Margo’s Catering and centerpieces whose sale benefitted Torah Fund-wow, what a night!!!

 The Torah Fund dinner featuring our Horty T Gendzier Woman of Achievement honoree Edith Horovitz was awonderful evening.  We had the opportunity to share a great meal, learn a little Torah with Sheldon Gendzier, and thank our Torah Fund donors- passing our $18,000 goal for the 2011-12 campaign was a hilight! But the main event was honoring not only a fabulous educator and sisterhood woman in Edith but hearing stories of how her mother, Horty influenced another sisterhood luminary, Kathy Osterer was a treat.  Equally wonderful were Kathy’s stories of what Edith means to her and all of us.  Not to mention Edith’s own words, which are featured in an upcoming post!
